How to make tools to use and gather supplies for them, sir?

I've been playing since the start and I want to know how to craft more tools and stuff. Its been so long and I am eager to get back in this mans great creation. I hope though that the game is cheap. I have no steam money, parents wont get me ;-; . And I want to play it when it fully comes out. It seems so nice ;---;
